A fantastic value Cabernet, they have elected to source from the Vista Vineyard (73%) in the Columbia Valley, the Heart of the Hill Vineyard (16%) in Red Mountain and the Jones Vineyard (11%) located in the Wahluke Slope. The Cabernet wine begins with aromatics of dill, sage, and blackberry, as the nose is currently a bit reticent and needs time in the decanter to develop. There are medium weight flavors of blackberry, coffee grounds and anise, connecting with some mild tannins. Nice herbaceousness and structure to this Cabernet. This is not one to touch for another year, as it needs some time for the fruit to fully integrate. (Best 2017-2025) - February, 2016 (OB)
