COL SOLARE Red Wine, Columbia Valley 2009

The 2009 Cole Solare offers up a rich and incredibly perfumed aromas of ripe raspberries, creme de cassis and oak. On the palate this offers a gorgeous velvery texture having flavors of cassis, blackberry and smoke. Today, the wines is a bit tannic and slightly shut down, but it shows tons of promise and judging from the track record at Col Solare, this will be a monster in about two years. 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 2% Malbec. (Best 2017-2030) - July, 2015 (OB)
