A blend of 61% Syrah, 21% Mourvedre and 18% Grenache that gives plentiful aromas of blackberry, scorched pine needles, black olive and wild sage. The palate is meaty and spicy with flavors of brown mushroom, smoked meat and peppercorn and delivers a very savory finish. I can’t believe that Corliss/Tranche is selling this wine for $25 because it tastes like it should be twice the price. That must be the "secret." Best buy.
