The 2017 Columbia Valley Red Wine is a beautiful blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Petit Verdot, and 6% Cabernet Franc. This is a bit restrained at first, but once it gets a few hours of air contact it really expresses itself beautifully. There are gorgeous aromas of blackberries, blueberries and currants, followed by ground espresso, pencil shavings, tobacco and black olives. It is well-structured with a medium plus to full body. The fruit is focused on the font end leading into the long finish. Drink now with extended air contact, or hold for 2-3 years and enjoy over the next decade.
