The Spring Ridge Vineyard ‘Picnic Block’ is situated at northernmost edge of the Santa Cruz Mountains and consists of two acres of Dijon 777 clone, which was planted back in 2000. This 2012 is a wonderfully expressive display of Pinot Noir from Bob Varner. It delivers seductive aromas of wild raspberry and mixed berries which come together with dried spices, fresh floral and subtle hints of dried soil. This shows plenty of weight, structured around beautiful soft tannins and a gorgeous seamless texture that expands on to the finish.
