VARNER Pinot Noir, Spring Ridge Vineyard 'Three Blocks' 2012

The ‘Three Blocks’ is a cuvée of all three separate parcels of the Spring Ridge Vineyard which are individually bottled under the Neely label. In 2012, this is an extremely captivating cuvée from Bob and Jim Varner, offering gorgeous aromas and flavors of raspberries and cherries along with sweet spices, forest floor and earthy minerals. This possesses wonderful elegance and finesse with a beautiful soft, silky texture that makes it impossible to resist. Today the wine is already quite accessible, but those who are patient will be sure to see this take on additional characteristics over the next decade. (Best 2015-2025) - March, 2015 (JD)
