The 2013 'Russian River Valley' Chardonnay is a fantastic new release wine that captures the balance and fruit from a great vintage. Sourced from Matthew’s Station vineyard in the Dutton Ranch, the wine was aged in 18% new French oak prior to bottling. This wine begins with aromas of nutmeg, toasted hazelnuts, and touches of butterscotch. There are flavors of brioche, roasted pineapple and creme brûlée. It possesses lovely weight and texture on the mouthfeel as it finishes up long with notes of vanilla cream lingeriing. (Best 2016-2024) - May, 2016 (OB)
