Cabernet Sauvignon exudes its best when grown on gravel soils and this bottling from the grave/loam soil of Napa Valley’s Oakville is no exception. Blended with small amounts of Cabernet Franc (2.5%) and Petit Verdot (2.5%) the Cabernet Sauvignon shines with toasty smoky vanilla, ripe cherry, light strawberry, and savory green herbaceous note. The palate is darker fruited with cassis and the subtle savory sweetness of roasted hatch chili and fennel. Showing great structure and integration in this early stage. Recommend decanting if drinking young.
