The 2010 John C. Sullenger Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is impressive for its concentration and depth of flavors. It displays an opaque, inky color and immediately opens up with bold aromas of blackberry and blueberry fruits, which are followed by crème de cassis, spices, graphite, pencil shavings and anise. The rich, layered palate is backed by big, round tannins that lead into the long, supple finish where a thick coating of dark fruits and spices are left behind. Delicious now, but allow it another few years in bottle. (Best 2015-2030) - October, 2014 (JD)
