This fantastic Syrah was sourced from the Paderewski Vineyard in Paso Robles. The vineyard is set on limestone and is known for inky and highly concentrated Syrah. This Syrah was fermented in open top fermenters prior to spending 22 months in 70% new French oak. As this begins to open it release a seductive bouquet of black cherry reduction, Turkish coffee, spicebox and anise. The texture is simply gorgeous as it displays lovely weight combined with an elegant feel. It continues to impress as concentrated flavors of crème de cassis, dark chocolate shavings, blueberry pie and suggestions of baking spices cascade on to the rich, layered finish.
