CALIZA Syrah 2014

Sourced from the Willow Creek District of Paso Robles, head winemaker Carl Bowker has crafted a highly perfumed Syrah, which opens to inviting aromatics of crème de cassis, rose petals, red bell pepper and tobacco leaf with red cherry compote all taking shape. The palate is dense and concentrated, yet the acidity balances things out beautifully, as it is driven by a core of ripe dark fruits, which give way to roasted figs and milk chocolate. Downright delicious, enjoy outstanding Syrah now or over the course of the next decade. (Best 2017-2027) - September, 2017 (OB)
