The 2015 Eberle Rose is a fantastic new release from Eberle. Despite the growing season being a great challenge and having the earliest harvest on record, this Steinbeck Vineyard Syrah Rose shows a good deal of structure and poise. This wine starts with aromatics of rose petals, red cherry, guava with hints of thyme and red raspberry. There are flavors of red cherry, red raspberry and guava puree that all lead to a light cream finish. There is solid minerality to this structured wine. This is delicious and is tough to beat at this price point. (Best 2016-2020) - May, 2016 (OB)
