The 2007 James Berry Vinyard is a phenomenal blend of Grenache, Mourvedre, Syrah, displaying a beautiful nose of raspberry syrup, crème de cassis, and a hint of spice. The palate reveals those same notes along with cedar, a hint of red pepper flakes and vanilla. Once open for an hour blueberry makes a clear appearance on the palate as well. The wine utterly envelops the mouth from start to finish and wraps it in a gorgeous blanket of cashmere with perfect harmony and balance. The finish lasts for over 2 minutes. This a triumph above and beyond what all but a handful of the world's best winemaker's dream to accomplish in their lifetime, a truly perfect wine! (Best 2014-2030) - February, 2014 (VM)
