The White Hill Chardonnay comes from nine of Sta. Rita Hills most prominent vineyards. Bentrock 35% Kessler-Haak 18%, Zotovich 15%, La Rinconda 9%, Rita's Crown, 7%, 3D 6%, Rancho Experanza 6%, Huber 2%, & Radian 2%. It has a very expressive nose featuring aromas of crushed limestone, papaya, pineapple, orange peel, lots of spring flowers and lemon pith followed by hints of smoke, white peach and flinty mineral. Really well balanced and clean with a creamy texture on the palate. In the end this is lively with great depth and lots of zip on the finish. Drinking well now with some air, but will certainly benifit from some bottle age. (Best 2016-2026) - April, 2016 (MD)
