This fantastic Pinot Noir comes from Le Bon Climat vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley. It is aged for 24 months in 100% new Francois Frères French oak barrels, then for 2 years in bottle. The deep, pure and youthful nose delivers a mix of red and black cherries, cranberry, clove, a beautifully complex base of soil tones, smoke, roses and a touch of orange peel. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, deep, and very focused at the core. It delivers pure fruits followed by ripe, chewy tannins that are well integrated and lead into the long and complex finish. Drinking well now with some air, but has the potential to last for years to come. (Best 2015-2029) - May, 2015 (MD)
