LUTUM Pinot Noir, Durell Vineyard 2013

The Durell Vineyard Pinot Noir is an impressive wine from Lutum in 2013. The grapes, which are a single clone (667 Dijon), are sourced from the northern most section of the Durell vineyard. This wine possesses gorgeous aromas of black cherry, spice, red berries, deep soil and floral notes. On the palate there is a racy core of red fruit and savory minerals. Overall, a medium bodied red, with an acidic backbone that leads into the long, exciting finish. This is drinking well now, but will also contunie to elvove with just a bit of time to mature in the cellar. (Best 2016-2026) - May, 2015 (MD)
