Block Five set apart from the rest of Dierberg and is known to produce a Pinot Noir which is darker and richer than the Pinot found in the rest of the Dierberg Vineyard. The 2013 absolutely brilliant and very “Burgundian" in style, offering gorgeous aromas of ripe raspberries and strawberries followed by smoke, sweet spices, spring floral and fresh mineral which all come together beautifully in the glass. This is remarkably balanced and focused showing excellent structure and depth. Everything finishes up with wonderful purity, length and precision. This is an extremely impressive Pinot Noir which is will be accessible upon release as well as my personal favorite from Tyler in 2013. 248 cases produced. (Best 2015-2027) - May, 2015 (JD)
