WALT Pinot Noir ‘Clos Pepe Vineyard’ Santa Rita Hills 2011

The Pinot fruit used in the 2011 'Clos Pepe’ is Pommard and Dijon 115 clones from Stephen and Cathy Pepe’s Vineyard in Sta. Rita Hills. The wine itself delivers wonderful aromas of ripe raspberries and red berries, which are followed by some mushroom, exotic spices, dried violet and some smoked applewood. The fruit is ripe with velvety tannins and shows excellent finesse. Stays balanced and focused with a juicy finish. (Best 2014-2020) - January, 2014 (JD)
