The 2016 'El Pedrosal' Ribera del Duero was aged for 12 months in barrels (French and American oak) and saw more than a year in the bottle prior to release. On the nose this takes on bright red fruits with citrus zest and wet stone undertones that all mingle nicely in the glass. The palate has good freshness and a silky texture, unveiling copious red fruits with minerals, leather and damp earth. This is fantastic stuff for the price.
