This stunning Tempranillo begins with a bouquet of dark cherries, pipe tobacco, black olive, and wild blackberry jam. There are rich flavors of black cherries, cassis, milk chocolate and graphite that sit alongside some gritty tannins. This is a wine with immense potential. Be sure to allow some air contact if approaching early as this is extremely tight at this young age. This is an exceedingly good effort from what was generally a challenging vintage in Rioja.
