Coming from the oldest block in the Quinto Do Crasto estate, the wine spent 20 months on oak prior to bottling in August 2015. The wine opens with intoxicating aromatics of violets, blueberry pie, cassis, coffee grounds and green olive. The wine has flavors of black cherry cordial, anise, creme de cassis and coffee grounds, leading to an exceedingly long finish. Tannic, broad shouldered and surprisingly assertive with a silky texture and rich fruit flavors bring you back to the glass for more hedonistic pleasure. This memorable wine is truly one for the cellar. (Best 2016-2030) - October, 2016 (OB)
