The 2011 Aneto is a fantastic blend which is composed of Touriga Franca (40%), Touriga Nacional (30%), Tinta Roriz (20%) and Tinto Cão (10%) sourced from vineyards located in Castedo do Douro, Alijó. This begins with vivid aromas of black cherries and red plums woven together with spices, white pepper and hints of violets. On the palate this is medium to full-bodied with a soft and velvety texture and a nice balance of ripe fruits and acidity. This continues to deliver concentrated flavors all the way through the lingering finish. This is an absolutely astonishing value from a spectacular vintage in the Douro.
