The 2016 Tenuta Argentiera is an absolutely sensational showing and one of the highlights from the vintage. It begins with profound aroma of blackberries, currants and fresh crushed violets which all come together in this masterpiece of a wine. The body is full, with beautifully round polished tannins and a juicy core that is underlined by lovely acidity that keeps it fresh and vibrant through the long persistent finish. While this is already utterly compelling, it should evolve gracefully and begin to show its best after a few more years of bottle age.
