The 2011 Le Volte dell'Ornellaia is a fantastic cuvée and an excellent introduction to Ornellaia's world-class wines. It brings magnificent aromas and flavors of dark cherry and blackberry along with herbs, roasted tomato, leather and floral. This rich, velvety, full-bodied blend of 50% Merlot, 30% Sangiovese and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon shows wonderful balance and finesse, ending in a long finish.
