The 2009 Valpantena Amarone della Valpolicella Conte di Bergonzo is a new world Amarone all the way. Loads of jammy black fruit with some chocolate, raisin, and sweet cherry pipe tobacco. The fruit is so jammy and totally dominates this wine with little structure to support it - June, 2012. (JD)
