FORADORI 'Fontanasanta' 2011

2013 Top 100 - Rank # 22

The 2011 Foradori Fontanasanta is made from an interesting varietal called Manzoni Bianco, which itself is actually a cross of Riesling and Pinot Bianco. This has gorgeous aromas of lime, orange blossom, spicy herbs and fresh salty minerals which leap from the glass. The lovely rich, elegant texture is beautifully balanced by a wonferful touch of acidity. I only expect this to develop and gain more depth over the next decade or so and readers looking to try a rare, yet amazing varietal should not pass on this beauty from Foradori. (Best 2013-2023) - September, 2013 (JD)
