Made from 100% Barbara, 50% of the grapes were dried for 40 days in baskets, while the other 50% is left on the vine for a natural Appassimento and harvested later. The grapes then spent 6-months refining in small wooden barrels. The wine itself is is loaded black raspberry, dark cherries, loam, coffee, olive and hints of spring floral. Full, round and voluptuous, with a remarkably soft texture and a core of sweet red and black fruits expanding onto the finish. Many will enjoy the forward accessible style this offers.
