The 2011 ‘Clemente VII’ Chianti Classico Gran Selezione is bold and stylish, offering alluring aromas of dark cherries, blackberries and black plums followed by sweet spices, leather, licorice and minerals all bursting from the glass. This Gran Selezione is full-bodied and well structured with integrated tannins, yeilding a wonderful velvety texture, along with excellent depth and balance. Delicious flavors of ripe dark fruits remain persistent as it folds in some dark chocolate notes, which continue to linger on the finish. This is showing remarkably well and is fully accessible now.
