The 2009 'Il Pino di Biserno’ is a dazzling showing, delivering seductive aromas of dark currant, cherries, graphite, chocolate, roasted bell pepper, floral, tar, spice and a some toasted notes, which all explode from the glass. This possesses a full, plush texture that shows wonderful balance and remarkable concentration with generous layers of dark fruits and spices through the finish. No need to wait much longer, as it is drinking tremendous right now. This reminds me of a great wine from a modern vintage on the Right Bank and should have no issues lasting in the cellar for years to come. (Best 2014-2027) - August, 2014 (JD)
