The 2013 'Le Vigne' is yet another completely captivating Barolo from Sandrone in this vintage, which was sourced from the vineyards of Baudana in Serralunga, Villero in Castiglione Faletto, Vignane in Barolo and Merli in Novello. This instantly impresses as it bursts open with simply striking aromatics of freshly sliced strawberries, cherries and raspberries, which are laced with floral, mint and tar nuances. Beautifully structured and polished, this Barolo displays remarkable overall focus and precision, along with a wonderful combination of sheer elegance and brawn. Overall, this is an absolutely thrilling wine, and while already extremely appealing, this will certainly continue to drink beautifully for many years to come. (Best 2020-2033) - September, 2017 (JD)
