The 2011 'Prapò' is a gorgeous showing. As this elegant, refined Barolo slowly begins to open, it releases wonderful aromas of ripe strawberries and red berries before adding on additional notes of exotic spices, licorice, mint and rose petal, which all come together beautifully. On the palate this is firmly structured and shows excellent overall balance. This continues to impress all the way through the finish with its elegant personality. Today, the 2011 is still a bit restrained and will ultimately require a few years of additional bottle age before it hits full-stride. (Best 2019-2032) - March, 2016 (JD)
