The 2011 Barolo from Giovanni Corino is a stylish, seductive display of Nebbiolo, which comes from 20-30 year old vines in La Morra. This instantly opens with intense aromas of dark ripe cherries, tar, spices, licorice, dusty leather and a touch of new wood. On the palate this is beautifully polished before bursting onto the juicy, mouthwatering finish which lingers on. There should be no concerns with approaching this early on.
