The 2012 Brunello from Querce Bettina slowly opens to aromas of cherry and plums woven together with juniper berries, earthy tones, spices, leather, tobacco and a hint of orange peel. The medium-full body is well structured and silky, with an expansive core of red fruits, which leads up to the lingering finish. While this is already showing some early appeal, it will require another year or so of bottle age before it begins to show its best. (Best 2019-2029) - March, 2017 (JD)
