The 2012 Brunello di Montalcino from Tenuta Fanti is an absolutely fabulous showing. It instantly impresses with striking aromas lead by dark cherries and blackberries, which are laced with spices, crushed stones, new leather and hints of floral. This possesses a wonderful rich, velvety texture with excellent depth and balance. It expands beautifully across the palate as it finesses its way into the long finish. This is simply outstanding and amongst one of the best Brunello’s I have tasted from Fanti. (Best 2018-2030) - February, 2017 (JD)
