The 2010 Poggiotondo Brunello di Montalcino brings loads of old-world character, with aromas of roasted plum, sweet berries, moist earth, citrus rind and spices. The medium body is supported by a fine silky texture and shows nice balance all the way through the finish. This could benefit from some more time in bottle, but if approaching early allow some air contact at the very least. (Best 2016-2023) - March, 2015 (JD)
