The 2009 Le Gode Brunello di Montalcino opens up with aromas of cherries, dark plums, licorice, spices, sweet floral, leather and mineral notes that jump from the glass. On the palate this shows a lovely soft, velvety texture typical of the vintage. This is nicely balanced with another layer of sweet red fruits and spices stretching out the finish.
