The 2009 Uccelleira is absolutely stunning, bursting with gorgeous aromas of sweet blackberries and dark cherries, which lead to spices and floral. Full-bodied with gorgeous silky tannins that caress every inch of your palate. The finish is long and persistent leaving behind lovely notes of dark fruits, sweet spices and even a hint of chocolate. This is a fantastic Brunello and should continue to evolve over the course of the next decade and beyond. This is right up there with the outstanding vintages of '04 and '07 from Andrea Cortonesi.
