Ripe and juicy with strawberries, raspberries, vanilla and some smoky notes which round out the character in this years 'Tre Vigne' Barbera from Vietti. This is round and polished with no hard edges and I love the plush style this brings. The grapes for the Tre Vigne are selected from three vineyard sites located in Monforte, Castiglione Falletto and Castiglione Tinella, which then spend 11 months in Slovenian oak casks, French barriques and steel tanks prior to being bottled unfiltered. Overall, this is a fantastic Barbera from Vietti.
