The 2015 Ventoux Blanc from Olivier & Lafont is a blend of 50% Grenache Blanc, 50% Clairette, which comes from vineyards planted in the sandy clay and limestone soils along the southern slopes of Mt. Ventoux. The wine displays a pale gold/beige color, and opens with lovely aromas of papaya, white peach, lime zest and wet stones. On the palate this is clean and fresh with a nice touch of acidity leading up to the mineral laced finish. A wonderful value and a lovely alternative for readers who enjoy Sauvignon Blanc.
