Elegant, effervescent and simply delightful, the Rosé Champagne by Veuve Clicquot is an outstanding release. Cellermaster Jacques Peters has crafted this wine as a blend from 50 to 60 different crus, as this cuvee is roughly 50% Pinot Noir, 15% Pinot Meunier, and the remainder Chardonnay. This salmon colored Rosé opens to predominately citrus based nuances, along with with red currants and red cherries. Bright, with red fruits which combine with mushroom and saline mineral characteristics that are delivered through a lovely textured palate. Overall, this is a lovely showing and should continue to impress over the next few years. (Best 2017-2026) - October, 2017 (OB)
