This gorgeous blend of 85% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Noir comes from Doquet's Premier Cru vineyards in the southern part of the Côte des Blancs in Vertus and Mont Aime with vines ranging from 3 to 77 years-old, averaging around 37 years old as of 2014. Pascal vinifies the Pinot in the blend as red wine to retain fruit and no tannin. The wine itself delivers aromas of dried strawberries, orange peel, brioche and minerals. It possesses a wonderful texture and mouth feel, backed by a lovely mousse, which all ends with a refined finish that leaves you wanting more. (Best 2014-2018) - August, 2014 (JD)
