The 2014 Domaine Beaurenard Chateauneuf du Pape is made of 70% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, and 10% Cinsault. It has a pretty nose of red berry, cherry, dried herb, plum, spice, intense mineral and fresh spring flowers. On the palate this is an elegant, medium-bodied red that is beautifully structured with fine, silky tannins and great overall balance and finesse, backed by lovely underlying acidity. This is already quite appealing, and should continue to evolve over the course of the next decade. (Best 2017-2028) - March, 2017 (JD)
