Another wonderful showing in this vintage from Domaine de la Mordorée is the 'La Belle Voyageuse'. This opens with lovely aromas of black raspberries and plum woven together with spices, rosemary, smoke and fresh violets. On the palate this displays a gorgeous velvety texture and remarkable balance. While this does not quite show the same depth and richness as the ‘Reine des Bois’ it certainly resembles the same seamless and elegant qualities. Overall, it is a simply sensational effort which should age gracefully for years to come. (Best 2017-2028) - November, 2016 (JD)
