TARDIEU-LAURENT Châteauneuf-du-Pape 'Vieilles Vignes' 2013

The 2013 Vieilles Vignes is a stunning wine and one of the most compelling wines from this vintage. It opens with gorgeous aromas of ripe blackberries, dark cherries woven together with lavender, tobacco, smoke, minerals and hints of bittersweet chocolate. On this palate this is richly textured and beautifully polished with remarkable overall balance and finesse. An absolutely incredible wine which should easily evolve for a decade and beyond. (Best 2017-2029) - October, 2015 (JD)
