The 2013 Domaine de Marcoux is a classy and elegant Châteauneuf, made in a traditional style. It offers beautiful fresh aromas of bright cherries and raspberry, woven together with spices, licorice, lavender with a touch of garrigue and leather, which all take shape in the glass. This is beautifully structured around fine, silky tannins and demonstrates remarkable overall balance and finesse. A stunning showing in this difficult vintage, however it will require some mid-term cellaring before it begins to show its best. (Best 2018-2028) - October, 2015 (JD)
