A traditional style Châteauneuf-du-Pape, souced from vines 50-80 years in age, planted to stony soils with large pebbles with a red clay and limestone base. he 2013 offers aromas and flavors of cherry and plum along with rustic notes of earth, spices and leather which all merge together in the glass. Nicely structured around soft, velvety tannins and shows lovely balance. Red fruits and tobacco flavors push through and linger on the finish. Allow this another year or so, best after 2016. (Best 2016-2023) - October, 2015 (JD)
