The 2013 'GT-1' is a seductive blend of 50% Grenache and 50% Syrah, made in a very modern style, with tons of new-world flare. It instantly bursts open with bold aromas of black plums and blueberries, woven together sweet spices, espresso, smoke, toast and violets. The rich, supple texture is layered and concentrated, with a lovely round, velvety texture that expands beautifully onto the the long, ripe finish. This is already drinking beautifully and should continue to do so for years to come. Undoubtably delicious, but traditionalists should approach with caution. (Best 2016-2027) - October, 2015 (JD)
