The 2013 Patrick Galant Châteauneuf-du-Pape offers pretty aromas of red plums and cherries lavender, spices and a slight touch of smoke, which all come together as it unwinds in the glass. The medium body is well balanced and focused around a mineral driven core. The finish is clean and fresh with a mouthful of sweet red fruits and spices lingering. Allow this another year or so. 70% Grenache, 15% Cinsault, 10% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre make up the final blend. (Best 2016-2021) - October, 2015 (JD)
