The 'Reine Jeanne’ is an excellent showing in 2012, instantly opening with aromas of dark plums and cassis, which give way to roasted coffee, asian spice, loam and hints underbrush. The full-bodied is beautifully textured, wrapped in round velvety tannins while remaining nicely balanced through the long finish. Still needs time, but there is lots to like here.
