The 2012 Domaine du Grand Tinel Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a lovely showing, made in a traditional style. It delivers aromas and flavors of raspberries and plums woven together with garrigue, spices, licorice and minerals. The medium-full body is nicely balanced and supported by fine tannins, which work their way into the silky finish. Today the wine is already showing some nice qualities, however it will ultimately need a bit more bottle age before it will show its full potential. (Best 2016-2026) - October, 2014 (JD)
